Jean-François Manzoni
IMD President & Nestlé Professor of Leadership & Organizational Development
Jean-François Manzoni is the President of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), where he also serves as the Nestlé Professor of Leadership and Organizational Development. He has been working with executives for 30 years, living in 5 countries and working in more than 30. His research, teaching and advisory activities are focused on leadership, the development of high-performance organizations and corporate governance. The recipient of several awards for teaching excellence, he also received numerous awards for his research and case writing activities, including for his seminal book “The set-up-to-fail syndrome: How good managers cause great people to fail” (with Jean-Louis Barsoux). A Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors, Professor Manzoni currently serves on the Board of Keppel Corp., an international diversified group listed on the Singapore stock Exchange and previously served on the Boards of AACSB International (the world’s largest business education alliance) and Singapore’s Civil Service College. A citizen of Canada and France, Professor Manzoni received his Doctorate from Harvard Business School.
