Jean-Marc Pontroué, is Chief Executive Officer at Breitling. A graduate of Business Economics from Nantes Business School in France, Jean-Marc Pontroué began his career in the luxury sector, initially working in leather goods before joining Givenchy in 1995 as Sales Director. His success in the LVMH Group established him as a strong commercial and brand development executive in the luxury industry. In 2000, Pontroué joined Montblanc, part of the Richemont Group, as Executive Vice President for Product Strategy and Development. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening Montblanc’s portfolio and positioning, contributing to the expansion of the brand into diverse categories of luxury products. In 2011, he joined Roger Dubuis and became CEO in less than a year, leading the Geneva-based watchmaker through a period of international growth and increased visibility in haute horlogerie. In April 2018, Pontroué was appointed CEO of Panerai, where he focused on strengthening the brand’s global positioning, product innovation, and community-driven marketing initiatives. On May 1, 2026, Pontroué was appointed CEO of Breitling. In this role, he is tasked with continuing the company’s international expansion and reinforcing Breitling’s position as one of the leading modern Swiss luxury watch brands.
